An UNF Science Camp - what is it?

UNF has been hosting scientific summer camps every summer since 2002. With subjects like biotechnology, game development, chemistry and mathematics, UNF delivers to a wide range of interests all over the scientific range. The camps take place at the Universities spread across the country, and we camp out in classrooms or local public schools on airbeds and with sleeping bags! A great way to get to know the people around you.

Our usual camps are intended for high school students (and recently also the upper years of primary school) but this year's ISSC is intended for the age group 16-25. We give the participants an exciting insight into high level science. The week-long camp is packed full of events like laboratory exercises in high tech facilities, lectures from the best and the brightest, and fascinating excursions to industrial facilities.

On our camps, the social events are a high priority; there is always much fun to be had while playing games that have become tradition throughout the years. There are always great opportunities to have lots of fun and you can’t help but get to know the other participants while playing card games at home base or running through the town during orientation! All experiences show that after a week of both social and scientific experiments you’ve gained great friends who share the same interests as you.
